One of the world’s funniest and most offensive comedians is coming here - local celebrities will be relieved to know it’s not in person.
C4 will screen The Sarah Silverman Programme next month.
Silverman is the pretty Jewish stand-up who hosted the MTV awards, where she made fun of Paris Hilton and Britney Spears. In the show, she plays a version of herself, who dumps God after a one-night stand; adopts a girl when she realises she’s too old to enter a kid’s pageant herself, glues dollar bills over a TV screen to avoid having to watch a programme on children dying of leukemia, and is rude and insensitive in general. She also tells stories through song.
