Longoria honors her Mexican roots
Posted by admin, in Eva LongoriaHOLLYWOOD — In her Spanish-style home in the Hollywood Hills, Eva Longoria is whipping up scrambled eggs with horribly bruised arms.
“Mario Lopez beat me up,” declares the youngest and most petite of ABC’s Desperate Housewives. “I elbowed him right in the nose — so hard I thought he was going to start bleeding. Then I scratched him with my nails. And then he body-slammed me and stepped on me many times.”
Lopez, it turns out, is a close friend of 15 years. The two were up until 2 a.m. rehearsing a high-impact salsa that will open Tuesday’s broadcast of the ALMA Awards, or American/Latino Media Arts (ABC, 9 p.m. ET/PT). The awards were handed out Friday in Pasadena.
The Dancing With the Stars alum admits he got a bit rough with his dance partner during their four-hour rehearsal. “We were trying these lifts, and the Latina in her kicked in,” Lopez says. “She’s a tough little thing.”
